Hello everybody,

Slowly but surely backers are receiving their Dygma Raise keyboards! Thanks for sharing your photos of your Raise!

Shipping Updates

We know there are still quite a few that are patiently waiting for the Raise but we would just like to reassure you that we are doing the best we can to send all of your orders as soon as possible.

We have already started shipping from Spain all the EU preorders and remaining web orders. We are sending them in batches. Some will be sent this week, some in 2 weeks and some in 3 weeks’ time.

The reason we are taking a while in shipping them is because we had to reorganize the boxes of orders when they arrived. The shipping company made mistakes labeling some orders. We thought they were fine, we started sending keyboards and we then we realized it was wrong.

So we had to completely rework everything and check each and every box to make sure that the contents inside were properly written in the labels.

Because of this mixup, we even sent the wrong orders to a few backers. Good thing we were able to detect the problem and contacted the backers to inform them of the situation.

We also had a few problems with the courier services that did our shipment from China. So this time as we are shipping from Spain, we made sure to contract a better courier company.

For example in the first shipment of keyboards, we had a difficult time managing orders that had modified addresses. This time, if you would like to change your shipping address, you can do so easily just by contacting DHL in your area.

If you do have questions about your order or the shipment, please send an email to [email protected]. If you have any technical issues with your Raise, please send an email to [email protected].

Bazecor Updates

We will be posting the Bazecor updates in our next post.

We have been working really hard improving the software and we think the best way to share this update is to combine it with a video explanation on how the new features work.

You can also check our progress live on our Development Trello board. We’ve made our board public so any user can vote or can add a comment on any card.

Access the board here: https://trello.com/b/keS2GQcU/bazecor-firmware-development

If you have any technical questions regarding the software or firmware, please send an email to [email protected].

Tenting Update

Yes a tenting update!

We have officially started the design phase of the tenting feature of the Raise.

As we mentioned before, we plan to create a separate tenting accessory.

The concept has been defined, we are going to do the first prototypes next week. We expect to have it done in a month. We will inform you in the upcoming updates about the development.

Esports professional wins championship with the Raise

We recently published an article about one of our backers, Riccardo “Washout” Beccaria, who is also a Professional PUBG Player for eSuba and Italy’s Team Captain.

He was one of the backers who tested a DVT unit of the Raise. You can read more about that here: DVT units are out for testing.

After getting vital feedback from him, we learned more about his story and decided to write an article about it, From Console Gamer to PC Champion.

Riccardo has been using his DVT Raise unit in different tournaments already.

  • PELC -> Online - Group Stage 3rd place
  • ESLM Summer Season 35k -> Online - 1st place
  • MCR Vodafone -> Brno (Czech Republic) - 4th place
  • Pro League Promo Finals -> Berlin - Champion

He told us how handy it was for him to travel with the Raise because of the travel case. He felt that the minimal space that the Raise occupied was a big benefit as well during LAN events.

But the BEST feature that beats everything else when it came to LAN setups was that the Raise does not need a driver and onboard memory to have all the profiles and colors you need.

Riccardo said that having more keys on the spacebar is a Tier 1 Benefit. It took him 2 weeks to get used to, but once he did, he knew that he wouldn’t go back to a traditional gaming keyboard. With muscle memory, he was able to move his fingers less and he was able to play faster than ever.

Now Riccardo has his second Raise keyboard from mass production.

He has also shared with us the configuration of his Raise.

  •  Layer 0: The first is his gaming layout.
  •  Layer 1: The second is the layout only with FX keys (f1,f2,f3...).

Green Keys are for In-Game actions. White Keys are for Discord. From Top Left to Bottom Right:

  • Spacebar -> Jump
  • , -> Vault / Climb
  • \ -> Cycle rate of fire in the current weapon (full auto - burst - single)
  • Right Alt + M added to Mute Discord
  • . -> unarm / holster weapon
  • / -> Equip Smoke Granade
  • [ -> Open Map
  • ] -> Toggle Streamer Mode Overlay on Discord (When I do Stream on twitch)

We would like to create more articles such as this. We are inspired by stories of human achievements, whether mundane or extraordinary.

So if you have an interesting story about you’re using the Raise, please let us know! We’d love to hear your story!

Video reviews from customers

We’ve also been seeing Youtube reviews of the Dygma Raise!

Black is a famous CSGO spanish influencer. He bought a black and a silver Raise during our crowdfunding campaign. He decided to do a review without us asking for it. How cool is that? :D

This next one is from one of our backers, Mike Gonçalves, a Software Development Engineer who runs a Youtube channel called TechCoders.

And this last one is from one of our Japanese backers, Nobuyasa Kanai, who visited us here in Dygma last year.

He is the owner of an esports bar, BAR DE GOZARBAR DE GOZAR(バル デ ゴザール), in Kobe, Japan. So if ever you're in the area, check it out! ;)

We appreciate everyone who is sharing photos and making video reviews of their Dygma Raise. We look forward to seeing more in the future! So don't be shy to share your photos or videos. We'd really appreciate the share!

Thank you everyone for all your support and thank you for continuing to share your reviews, photos, and videos about the Raise!

Even though we are receiving so many messages everyday, we feel so satisfied seeing many people thanking us and showing how much they love our product. We will continue to do our jobs well so we are able to serve you all better!

Thank you for reading our update guys.

Fri Jan 10 '20 Announcement
over 4 years ago – Fri, Jan 10, 2020 at 07:03:36 AM

Hello everyone and welcome to the year 2020 where the future is bright and our vision is ever so clear!

Trivia for the day: 20/20 vision is a term used to express normal visual acuity (the clarity or sharpness of vision) measured at a distance of 20 feet. This means that the test subject sees at 20 feet what a person with normal vision sees at 20 feet. (If you have 20/40 vision, this means that you see at 20 feet what a person with normal vision sees at 40 feet.) ?

-------------------------------------

This year is the year we will finally fulfill all pre-orders to our backers, and send out the normal orders to our customers.

We knew this day would come, but now that it is finally here, we have seen our vision come to life, and have more clarity on what we aim to do in the new decade:

"To create a new category of high-performance computer devices to revolutionize the workstation for gamers and professionals." ??

Now for the updates…

-------------------------------------

Shipping Updates

The keyboards have finally arrived!

After that struggle dealing with logistics in China, our babies have finally reached our warehouse in Valencia, Spain.

Pre-orders

Our next step is to organize all remaining pre-orders (EU and non-EU), put the labels with the corresponding shipping addresses, and send them out next week.

Limited Deilor Edition Orders

Your keyboards will be engraved in our workshop next week. We will assemble the switches ourselves and will send them to you the following week.

Normal orders

After sending the pre-orders, we will send out all other orders that were made through our website. This will be done in the following week, the 4th week of January.

Most recent orders and modified orders

Some of the most recent orders and some special orders will be assembled in our warehouse. These will be shipped after the normal orders.

Important reminder:

All tracking numbers will be sent by DHL to your email. If you need to change your address but the package has already been dispatched, you can contact DHL to change it. You will receive the contact information when you receive the tracking number. You will also receive an SMS or a call through the number you provided.

Having the keyboards and components here in our warehouse has made it significantly easier for us to check, assemble, and organize the Raise keyboards for shipment. We encountered a few quality issues with some of the orders that were already sent out. Having the orders in our warehouse will help us prevent these issues from happening again, or at least minimize them ?

My Raise Page Updates

We are constantly updating our My Raise page thanks to the feedback given by our backers.

You can read the FAQs section to learn what the common questions are just in case you might have the same question as well.

Bazecor Updates

Vote and comment on the next Bazecor features

We’ve always embraced what we call “open development”, which is being clear and transparent about what we are doing and what’s going on behind the scenes.

Following this way of thinking, we’ve made our Development Trello board public. Any user can vote or can add a comment on any card.

Access the board here: https://trello.com/b/keS2GQcU/bazecor-firmware-development

In this board, you’ll be able to see what we are working on for the next update and what new features and functionality we have in mind for the future.

Feel free to vote on the cards you want us to develop first, and don’t hesitate to drop a comment if you have a question or suggestion.

If there’s a feature you’d like us to develop that isn’t already on the board, please send us an email to [email protected].

Bazecor and Raise-Firmware are Open Source

Something that probably many of you already know is that our software and firmware are open-source.

If you’d like to check our code or contribute, these are our Github repositories:

Bazecor: https://github.com/Dygmalab/Bazecor

Raise-Firmware: https://github.com/Dygmalab/Raise-Firmware

More photos from people who’ve received their Dygma Raise keyboards!

Among the #dygmaraise photos going around on social media, the one that caught our attention was one by Darren Hallihan on Twitter @Editor_Darren, the assistant editor of the Netflix show, StarTrek Discovery! How cool is that!

We also received cool images from a backer from the UAE on Instagram @uae_pcgamers. Look at this epic setup!

More and more people are learning about the Dygma Raise and that’s thanks to all of you who’ve supported us in order to make this vision become a reality!

We really can’t wait till to see all of you have your Dygma Raise in your hands.

Thank you for reading our update. Till next week!

Thu Jan 2 '20 Announcement
over 4 years ago – Thu, Jan 02, 2020 at 08:45:54 AM

Happy holidays everyone!

After exactly 2 years of starting our Kickstarter project, we've finally shipped all Raise keyboards.

It's been quite a journey and no one truly expected it to take this long. We encountered a lot of hurdles but we have learned so much! We hope that for those who have already received their keyboards, the wait was worth it. And for those who are still waiting, we assure you it's worth the wait!

Photos from backers who have received their Raise

We’re super happy to see people receiving their Raise keyboards and seeing photos of them around social media!

When you receive your Dygma Raise, make sure to share it on social media too and add #dygmaraise so we can reshare it!

Shipping status

NON-EU ORDERS

All non-EU orders have already been dispatched and are headed to their shipping destinations. Some backers, particularly in Japan, China, Australia, UAE, and the Philippines have already received their orders.
For those who are yet to receive their orders, we've already sent your tracking numbers so you can monitor your order.
If for some reason you haven't received an email with your tracking number, please reply with your name below and we'll send it to you.

EU ORDERS

We had some issues with the latest shipment of EU orders to Spain and this caused some delays. To explain the situation clearly, you must be aware of the players in this particular scenario. We have our logistics partner in China, our assembly factory, and DHL.
We had 10 pallets to ship - 8 pallets full of boxes of Raise keyboards and 2 with extras.

The plan was simple. All pallets would be sent from our assembly factory to the logistics warehouse and then DHL would get those pallets and ship them to Spain. Easy, right? Nope! We thought it would be. But it wasn’t.

First issue: DHL wouldn’t ship them because we needed a document that stated what was inside each box in each pallet.

So, the people from the assembly factory had to check each box and see what was inside. Did this box have switches? Keyboards? Keyboards with which kind of switches?

After spending another day checking the boxes and creating this document, we called DHL.

Second issue: They told us that they needed the name of the exporter. We told them that we were the exporter. But they then said that the exporter needed to be a Chinese company. So we had to delay the shipment and talk to our assembly factory so we could put their name as the exporter.

Done.

Third issue: DHL then asked us for an invoice for the items that were inside each pallet. But the invoice we had was the one that had ALL pre-orders including the non-EU pre-orders. So we had to create another invoice to only include the EU pre-orders and the normal orders, and match it with what was inside each pallet. It took a few more days until we sent them the new invoice.

Everything was ready - DHL picked everything from our logistics warehouse. And when we thought we were done with the bureaucracies, someone in customs called us saying that the exporter (our assembly factory) didn’t have permission to export some components. This was the fourth issue.

We had to stop everything again. We had one of our consultants call the headquarters of that component to figure things out.

Luckily we were able to solve the problem but it still delayed shipment by more than a week!

Now, all EU orders are in transit to our warehouse in Spain and will arrive on the 2nd week of January. Once there, we will send the orders to their final destinations. It will take only a few days using DHL.

We separated the orders this way because if not, you (EU orders) would need to pay the VAT in your country. By shipping the keyboards from Spain, we will be paying the VAT to the Spanish government so the taxes would be included in the money you pledged on Kickstarter.

This was such a learning experience for us and it made us realize that there is still a lot to learn about international shipping. Even though we had a logistics partner and were constantly in contact with DHL, we still weren’t 100% prepared. It just goes to show that with these things you learn by experience and now we know better.

Changing shipping addresses

NON-EU ORDERS

We received a few messages from people asking if they could change their addresses. We can no longer change the shipping address the moment we ship your keyboard.

But you can change the shipping address by simply calling your local post. The contact number should be on the webpage where you track your order www.trackingmore.com. You would need to tell them your name and tracking number and the new shipping address.

If you can't find the contact number or need any assistance with the delivery, you can email us at [email protected].

EU ORDERS

If you want to change shipping addresses, tell us before January 10.

If you need to change shipping addresses and your keyboard has already been dispatched from our warehouse in Spain, then you would need to call your local post (follow the instructions above) and ask them to change it.

My Raise Page

My Raise Page has all the information and instructions you need to use your Dygma Raise keyboard.

There you will find steps on how to:

Connect your Raise to your computer

Properly remove your mechanical switches

Create fancy layouts with different color and keymap configurations

Import and export layers in our configurator software, BAZECOR, ad many more!

If you have any technical questions regarding the product or software, you can email us at [email protected].

That’s all for now and for this year!

The last days of 2019 have been intense but we are extremely happy that some of you have already received your Dygma Raise keyboards. At least we were able to fulfill some orders before the year ended.

It’s been an awesome 2019! Thank you everyone!

Now looking forward to 2020, a new year, a new decade! Let’s make it epic!

Fri Dec 13 '19 Announcement
over 4 years ago – Fri, Dec 13, 2019 at 06:13:18 AM

Hello everybody!

The news you've all been waiting for (drumroll please) ???...

We've started shipment! ?

Yey!!!

After almost 2 years, enduring many obstacles, experiencing delays with manufacturing, and solving problems even until the packing process, we’re more than relieved to say that your orders are already in the hands of the shipping companies and will soon be at your doorstep ?

NON-EU PREORDERS

We have already shipped the non-EU preorders. (The non-EU preorders are those that are not part of the European Union or the European Economic Area.)

If you want to verify if your order is part of the EU batch or not, you can email us at [email protected].

We will soon be sending out the tracking numbers in the next few days so you can closely monitor the status of the delivery ?

Normally, these deliveries would take 8-10 days minimum and 15 days maximum. It may take less time for some countries like Japan and Australia, but it is possible that it may take 15 days or longer to reach the US.

We've received notice from China EMS that due to some areas in the USA with expected blizzards, such as Chicago and New York, some mails will be delayed. But don't worry! We'll make sure that, storm or not, your keyboards will be delivered to your doorstep safely.

EU PREORDERS

For the EU-preorders (all orders made in the European Union), we expect the keyboards to arrive Spain on the 28th of December.

We will sort the keyboards in our warehouse here in Spain. Afterwards, we will ship the keyboards via DHL to the final destination.

We will send out the tracking numbers once the products have been dispatched.

For those who weren't aware of why we separated the non-EU preorders to EU preorders, it was because we wanted to pay the VAT for the EU preorders. So the best solution for this was to ship the keyboards to Spain first and then to the European destinations.

Questions?

We know many of you are itching to know the status of your orders so all we ask is that you patiently wait for the email of your tracking numbers or for the next update, which will be in 2 weeks' time.

But for whatever reason, you need to contact us, feel free to do so at [email protected]. We will try as much as possible to reply promptly!

Close to the end ?

Again, we’re all very excited for you to receive your Dygma Raise keyboards!! The journey has been long and eventful and now we’ve finally come close to the end!

Thank you ever so much again for supporting our project and seeing things through with us. It's been emotional. Rest assured we'll continue to post more updates in the coming weeks.

Much love,

- Dygma Team
